WHO’S WHAT, WHERE
The Bilco Co. has named Tom Crowley vice president of sales and marketing for the West Haven company’s Architectural Products Division. Crowley has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Before joining Bilco, he was president of IDS Inc., an underground utility placement company in Bradenton, Fla. He also spent 19 years at Hilti Inc. in various sales, marketing and training roles. Crowley holds a BS degree in marketing from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
Jeffrey Pfalzgraf has joined the Milford Bank as assistant vice president and manager of the bank’s new Post Road West office. He previously served as vice president at JPM Chase Bank. He has also held management positions at Hudson United Bank and People’s United Bank. He earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Columbia University.
James S. McCoy has been named vice president for enrollment management at the University of New Haven. Previously, he served as the vice provost for enrollment management, planning and policy at Louisiana State University.
Jeff Mattia has been appointed executive chef at the Country Club of Waterbury. Previously, he was a banquet chef at Water’s Edge Resort & Spa in Westbrook. Before that Mattia was chef de cuisine under celebrity chef Tom Colicchio when he opened Craftsteak restaurant at Connecticut’s MGM Grand at Foxwoods Resort in 2008.
Carmody & Torrance, LLP has announced the addition of two attorneys: Daniel P. Venora partner and Mark F. Williams, counsel. Venora has more than 20 years of experience in energy and public utility law, including 18 years with Northeast Utilities. Williams has more than 19 years of experience addressing tax, ERISA and 401(k) issues.
Gov. M. Jodi Rell appointed Department of Administrative Services Commissioner Brenda Sisco secretary of the Office of Policy and Management (OPM), the budget office for the executive branch. She will succeed OPM secretary Robert Genuario, who was confirmed as a Superior Court judge. Formerly Sisco served as director of the governor’s Office of Legislative Affairs, where she worked for more than ten years.
Hoffman Architects has announced three promotions: Erin L. Aichler, Robert A. Marsoli Jr. and Benjamin J. Robinson have been appointed project managers. Aichler has worked on projects at Quinnipiac University and Yale’s Rudolph Hall, among others. A member of the firm’s engineering team, Marsoli has participated in projects involving the Hospital of Central Connecticut and parking garages at Northeast Utilities. Robinson works on projects in the commercial, nonprofit, institutional and government sectors, including Choate Rosemary Hall and Wellesley College.
The Connecticut Economic Resource Center Inc. (CERC) has promoted Kristiana Hoffa Sullivan to vice president of marketing. Sullivan has been with CERC since 2000, helping to implement several statewide campaigns and marketing initiatives. She was graduated from Boston University.
The Worx Group in Prospect has added Senior Designer David Cushman to its creative team. Previously he was senior art director at the Westport branding and advertising agency WSAA and before that was design director for Gartner in Stamford. He holds a BFA from the Hartford Art School of the University of Hartford.
Cindy Russo has been named senior vice president of operations at MidState Medical Center. Previously she was vice president of patient care services at the Meriden hospital. Before that, she was the president and CEO of MidState VNA. She has been with MidState Medical Center for nine years.
Catalyst Marketing Communications Inc. has promoted Krysten D’Amato to public relations account executive. She joined Catalyst in October 2009 as an assistant account executive. Previously, she was an account coordinator in the consumer division at 5W Public Relations in Manhattan.
Veteran banker Mary Esposito has been named vice president and manager of Quinnipiac Bank & Trust’s main branch at 2600 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden. Esposito began her career at the former American National Bank in Hamden, where she held various managerial positions. She is a graduate of the University of New Haven.
Quinnipiac Bank & Trust has also named Jonathon Rappi of Southington controller. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, he most recently held a financial management position at Apple Valley Bank & Trust Co. in Cheshire.
The National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) named New Haven Public Schools Supervisor of Physical Education and Athletics Joseph Canzanellat to its Sport Steering Committee. NASPE is a non-profit professional membership association whose members include K-12 physical education teachers, coaches, athletic directors, sport management professionals, researchers and college/university faculty who prepare physical activity professionals.
Second-year law students Robyn Drucker of Hamden and Rachel Schwartzman of Orange have joined the Bridgeport firm of Cohen and Wolf, PC as summer associates. Both are expected to graduate from law school (respectively, Boston University and Pace University) in spring 2011.
